  • Cookies: Authentication tokens and preference cookies. See Section 3 for details.
  • WordPress analytics: Basic page view counts via standard WordPress hooks. No third-party tracking.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to operate Guest Post Buddy:

  • To create and manage your publisher account.
  • To display your website listings in the directory (only information you explicitly submit for public display).
  • To send you transactional emails: account verification, listing approval/rejection notifications, and password resets.
  • To respond to your support inquiries.
  • To detect and prevent abuse, spam submissions, or fraudulent listings.
  • To improve platform functionality based on aggregate, anonymized usage patterns.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose.

3. Cookies

We use the minimum necessary cookies to operate the platform:

  • Authentication cookies: WordPress login cookies (wordpress_logged_in_*) that keep you signed in during your session.

Publicly displayed data: Information you submit in a website listing (site name, URL, niche, metrics, pricing, and chosen contact details) is publicly visible on the directory. Please only include contact information you are comfortable sharing publicly.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

  • HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit.
  • Passwords are hashed using WordPress's bcrypt-based salted hashing.
  • Database access is restricted to authorised server processes only.
  • Regular security audits and WordPress core/plugin updates.

Despite these measures, no internet platform is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

6. Your Rights

Guest Post Buddy is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.
